Reem Acra is one of my favorite designers, whether we’re talking wedding fashion or Ready to Wear. Her designs are always so distinctly feminine and often evoke rich, Golden Age Hollywood glamour. A starlet wearing one of her dresses is always the focus of the red carpet, and her brides are ooohed and aaahed over, shared, and pinned all over the world. The dresses from this collection will certainly not be any exceptions!
Although her bridal style tends toward the dreamy and romantic, I love the bolder approach Reem took with this collection, always maintaining her signature femininity. The dramatic black and gold pairing already screams glam, but she worked it in with sleek silhouettes to really bring the drama. I absolutely adore the pieces with Houndstooth patterns – will we see this start to replace Chevron as the go-to modern wedding pattern in 2014? I hope so!
