Vintage Wedding Styling in an Autumn Garden

If you’re planning a fall wedding, today’s gorgeous autumn garden shoot is bursting with stunning inspiration! Kristin La Voie Photography and Beso Weddings & Events sought to capture the brilliant fall colors of the Chicago Botanic Garden in a shoot that celebrates a classic autumn palette and romantic vintage style, with unforgettable modern twists like a crop top lace wedding dress and a custom whiskey bar!

The graceful beauty of the Chicago Botanic Garden could not have been more suited to the romantic styling of this shoot, from the bride’s elegant pearl-adorned updo to the classic fall palette of Natural Beauties‘ floral arrangements. A traditional combination of deep red and orange with hints of yellow gave a nod to the classic colors of the season, especially when paired with modern patterned linens in cream and gray and vintage gold decor. The bride’s stunning bouquet of roses, orchids, and chrysanthemums created a layered look that complemented the textures in her lace wedding dress. The sweeping skirt and long sleeves were a gorgeous nod to vintage bridal style, while the crop top and two piece gown perfectly embodied current trends. Even the groom’s slim fit charcoal suit and classic ascot represented a beautiful blend of modern meets classic style!

The romantic garden surroundings offered plenty of spaces to set up for a celebration, from the ivy hung arbor scattered with rose petals for the ceremony to the tree lined avenue set up for the reception. A grand King’s table with modern patterned linens and rustic cross-back chairs was set with vintage gold decor and colorful fall florals. Berries mixed in with jewel toned flowers to add vibrant color to the neutral tablescape, with a burgundy rose adorning each formal place setting.

The styled wedding day was filled with unique details that are sure to inspire couples planning their own celebration. A live event illustrator sketched the key moments of the day, from the bride and groom exchanging rings to the first dance. A custom designed gold bar boasted cut glass decanters filled with whiskey for an unforgettable tasting experience and a variety of signature cocktails. Even the cake table offered a twist on the naked cake, with jewel bright flowers standing out against the light coat of buttercream, and a mirrored cake stand adding an elegant element of glamour. An antique get away car awaited the bride and groom, capping off a chic vintage wedding day in style!
