Retro Glam Wedding Shoot in Poppy Red and Gold

Start your week with bold color and stunning style with today’s retro glam shoot in poppy red! I adore the mix of vibrant colors and chic styling, from the stripes of the invitation suite to the incredible drama of the bride’s Galia Lahav wedding dress. Amy and Jordan Photography and Events by Stephanie Antoinette created timeless wedding inspiration filled with whimsical floral print and golden desert sunshine.

A bright palette of poppy red played off the crisp white walls of Scottsdales’ The Clayton on The Park. The bold color added a retro feel to the motif of stripes and floral print that Victoria York Design used on the invitation suite, menus, and escort cards. Even the desserts had a signature floral posy, with hand painted macarons and sugar poppies adorning cupcakes. Růže Cake House turned simple white cakes into works of art, with subtle blush watercolor tiers adorned with fresh red anemones for a striking pop art finish.

The retro details didn’t keep the team from upping the glam factor! A stunning backless Galia Lahav wedding dress from Destiny’s Bride added an incredible dose of drama with a halter neckline with a gold choker, and a showstopping lace train. Brady’s Floral Gallery created a whimsical bouquet of peonies, chamomile, and bold red anemones to add a hint of sweetness to the fitted lace dress. The groom’s classic three piece suit fit the bill perfectly with the addition of a dotted red bow tie and a crimson boutonniere.

A portrait session in the desert captured the golden light of magic hour, and gave the couple a chance to relax. A whimsical Liancarlo gown with a plunging v-neck and embroidered tulle turned ethereal in the last ray’s of sunlight. The golden setting turned out to be the perfect way to end a romantic and dramatic day!
