Luxurious Ivory, Black, and Gold Wedding Design Inspired by San Francisco City Hall

If you’re ever in the city by the bay, I highly recommend a trip to San Francisco City Hall! The incredible architecture of the rotunda could not be a more perfect spot for a visit – or a wedding! The city hall has played host to everything from intimate elopements to grand black-tie affairs, so today’s feature combines the best of both. The soaring dome in the central rotunda is decorated in gorgeous Beaux-Arts style, with luxurious marble and the luster of gold, accented with wrought iron. What palette could be more timeless?

Today’s inspiration came not only from the gorgeous colors in the City Hall, but the versatility of the event space! I have seen so many fabulous events take place in the incredible rotunda, whether there are no guests or hundreds. These ultra-luxe details would be perfectly suited for an eloping couple saying their vows in front of just their nearest and dearest, before holding an intimate reception in one of the city’s opulent hotel suites. A gilded ballroom on Union Square or Nob Hill welcomes a larger party in luxurious San Francisco style – dozens of long dining tables in crisp ivory linens accented with black chairs and gold cutlery, a garden of textured neutral blooms, and an antique chandelier overhead.
