The best of summer is in this chic nautical seaside wedding from peaches & mint and Lovely Weddings by Viktoria Antal! Rich golden light illuminates the sweet preppy styling that gives this shoot its theme, with chic striped details and nautical ropes!
Lovely Weddings gave a classical nautical look a gorgeously modern update with a palette of bold cobalt blue and blush pink against a field of crisp white. A motif of boating knots carried the theme in even the smallest of details – the bride’s belt and headpiece, piping around the base of the cake, the invitation suite, even the pillow for the wedding rings were all adorned with simple knots.
Rather that a traditional bar, bottles of sparkling peach bellinis were offered at each place setting, along with drink stirrers in the shape of tiny boating flags. The place settings also boasted individual escort cards with names carefully printed on driftwood, echoing the shell and branch decor of the centerpieces. Lush flowers in fresh summer white and blush added gorgeous texture to the table arrangements and the bride’s bouquet, even a fresh floral topper on the shingle holding guests’ place cards!
The bridal party were also in keeping with the elegant but breezy nature of the shoot. The bride wore a floating chiffon halter dress with an open back, accented with a woven rope belt and silver knot headpiece. The groom’s linen pants and navy sport coat took a slightly more casual turn with the addition of striped suspenders and an open collar. Even the bridesmaids were in on the look, with twist and tie dresses from TwoBirds, adding their own knotted details!
