If you’re ready to see the end of winter, this gorgeous editorial shoot is just the thing! A blend of moody dark tones and ethereal light signify the changing of the seasons, with the play of rustic industrial wood against flowing tulle, winter greenery mixed with spring peonies, and a groom in navy wool with his bride in sheer lace. Whiskers and Willow Photography and Kaleb Norman James Design brought this lovely juxtaposition to life in today’s featured shoot!
Dark Into Light – An End of Winter Editorial
The floor to ceiling windows and rustic wood walls of the Metropolist in Seattle provided the perfect contrast for this blend of rustic and industrial styles. A sheer lace crop top and tulle skirt from Alexandra Grecco gave the bride the perfect ethereal touch, while her groom evoked the darker tones of winter in a three piece navy wool suit with bronze accents. The juxtapositions continued into the lush florals from Kaleb Norman James Design, with silvered winter greenery and deep blue berries flourishing alongside the spring blossoms of white peonies. The bride’s bouquet was tied with striped ribbons to add a hint of pattern to the natural tones of the shoot.
Organic textures took on new life at the head table, flooded with light from the venue’s soaring windows. Textured tablecloths in the palest of blues carried the wintery color scheme, accented by gray linen napkins and watercolor ombré place cards. Vintage patterned china and mother of pearl flatware added the perfect heirloom touch to the clean and modern feel of the table decor.
