Raise a glass to today’s ode to craft beer and brewery wedding ideas! It’s a concept that is sure to delight lovers of beer, whether they’re the bride, the groom, or the lucky guests. Full disclosure – today’s inspiration comes from a wonderful friend of mine who is lucky enough to marry a brewery rep and is figuring out how to marry her own modern glam aesthetic with his love of beer and comfort!
Since I can’t share the ideas behind her big day quite yet – although it has been a blast coming up with the perfect union of both their styles and the amazing beer has certainly helped – today’s post will definitely appeal to beer-loving couples everywhere. Whether a brewery takes center stage as the venue or just the most coveted spot on the bar menu, there are so many fun and still chic ways to incorporate beer into your big day. I loved the subtle addition of hops to the organic bride’s bouquet, as well as in an exuberant garland draped over the bar and lush greenery installations over well-appointed farm tables. Get guests in the spirit with beer and hors d’oeurves pairings at Cocktail Hour, with bite sized delicacies specially chosen to balance of the flavor of petite beer flights. Serve a toast in personalized pint glasses or pilsners with dinner and offer favorite brews at the bar. Wines and whiskeys aged in beer barrels are a great way to round out the bar menu while staying on theme and keeping flavors consistent, while summer shandies are perfect for warmer weather. Light foods pair well with a heavier drink, so skew your menu to accommodate for the robust flavors of IPAs and Ambers to leave guests satisfied but ready to hit the dance floor!
