Does it get any more classic than a black and white wedding? That’s a rhetorical question, of course, because I really think the answer is no, it pretty much doesn’t. The delightful thing about such a combination is not how well it ages, but how versatile it proves to be. Such a crisp palette can play backdrop to any number of colors or patterns but today’s inspiration was created in a playful mood, so we get the Kate Spade inspired stripes paired with pops of brilliant fuchsia!
There’s something so utterly chic about hints of a black and white stripe strategically placed throughout a wedding design – just a hint of pattern immediately creates a modern look. The key is to use such a strong pattern strategically, in small doses, to keep things elegant. A touch of a print – the ribbon wrapped around the bouquet, striped linens on specialty tables – make for strong accents without taking the theme too far. Use the base colors colors separately when it comes to decor with the most visual real estate – the gown and bridesmaids’ dresses, the groom and groomsmens’ suits, table linens – to really allow the print and fuchsia to make the biggest statement!
