These charming Something Blue wedding ideas are more than just pretty inspiration – they also feature a surprise proposal! When planning this whimsical and romantic shoot, photographer Ariana del Mundo Photography and planner Danielle Green Events happened upon Matt and Sara – a real life couple who agreed to stand in as bride and groom. Little did Sara know that she would end the shoot as a Bride to Be! Once finding out Matt’s plans to propose, the team decided to make the details tell the story of Sara and Matt’s relationship!

Matt is going to put all future grooms to shame with his sweetly thought out details for his gorgeous proposal. Instead of invitations to a wedding, stationery designer Red Bicycle Paper Co. created an engagement announcement for the couple, inviting their loved ones to celebrate! She also designed a ‘Love Recipe’ for the menu card, listing their favorite things to do together. The custom pillows handmade by Go Fluff Yourself Designs for their lounge nook included secret messages to Sara – including ‘P.S. I Love You’ and ‘Love Never Fails’. The gorgeous ombre buttercream cake by Refined Sugar Cakes and Sweets featured their favorite Bible verse with a gold lettered inscription of ‘love is patient, love is kind, love never fails’. The sweet touches were all a surprise to Sara who had no idea that he would be getting on one knee and asking her to marry him as they pretended to be a bride and groom!

Sara got a gorgeous preview of her wedding day with the vision that Danielle Green Events and Jessica Hobson Event Artistry created. They envisioned a wedding day styled around dusty blue and vintage rose, and fell head over heels for a blue tulle skirt from Mr Pretty Skirt. The dreamy skirt and sweet lace crop top offered the perfect blend of whimsical and romantic, and created a gorgeous focal point for their wedding day vision. The soft dusty blue inspired the soft ivory and green flower arrangements by Jessica Hobson, who incorporated flower installations with modern copper decor to accent the industrial red brick of the Arlington Hotel in Paris, Ontario!
