Imagine standing in the desert, dry winds around you, and the sun just starting to set over the mountains in the distance. With Las Vegas just to the north and the Mojave National Preserve to the south, this adventure desert photoshoot took place in Jean, Nevada, a destination for adventurers and those looking to veer off the beaten path. It’s the perfect description of this talented team, with fine art photographer Laura Murray, publisher Magnolia Rouge, and the renowned Janna Brown Design coming together to create unique desert wedding style!

Foraged Floral Bouquet with Silk Ribbons for an Adventure Elopement Desert Photoshoot

To capture the soul of the desert in the flowers, Janna Brown Design wisely kept things simple and filled with foraged details to complement the cappuccino roses and burgundy ranunculus. Long silk ribbons fluttered from the stems of the hand tied bouquet, creating beautiful movement in the desert landscape.

The bride’s unique elopement dress was created by Carol Hannah, a stunning and picturesque choice for a barefoot bride on an adventure desert photoshoot. The sagebrush green dress featured draped silk over a fitted silhouette, allowing the shape of the dress to change with every motion and breath of the wind.

The groom looked dashing in all-black elopement attire, with the open collar and skipped tie speaking to the less-formal nature of an adventure desert elopement.

Elopement Desert Photoshoot with a Greenery Arch in Nevada

The organic elopement ceremony looked as though it could have grown out of the desert floor! The ceremony arch was made of greenery and foraged desert brush, accenting the landscape with found textures to tie in the desert flats and mountain range beyond. Andi Artigue Photography used the luminous desert light to create these stunning portraits, capturing the minimalist details with a skilled eye. The aisle was set on the sand, with modern ghost chairs forming the rows and creating an intimate wedding ceremony without distracting from the landscape.

The amethyst and sagebrush color scheme was incorporated into the reception table, creating an intimate celebration in the desert! The long dining table was set with a purple velvet tablecloth from La Tavola Linens, creating a luxe detail among the tumbleweed. The late evening light glowed against the velvet and acrylic ghost chairs of this organic and minimalist reception set up.

Purple and Peach Wedding Flower Arrangements for a Desert Photoshoot Elopement

To accent the beautiful texture of the velvet tablecloth, RSVP Party Rentals dressed the tablescape with gold flatware, and crisp white ceramic plates. The details were accented by Julie Ha Calligraphy‘s beautiful vellum and velvet menus and scattered with shelled pistachios to add texture and dusty green color to the purple and gold details The centerpieces were made of orange and burgundy flowers with foraged desert shubs to create an elemental flower arrangement that reflected the surroundings.
