Spring weddings usually come decked in bright colors or seasonal pastels, but I wanted to do something a little bit different. Today’s ethereal spring wedding inspiration came from driving past row after row of blooming almond trees – delicate, filmy petals with just a hint of color adorning dark branches.
That gorgeous contrast was the inspiration behind today’s board – feather light details with a hint of rich darkness. To try and capture the fragile beauty of the petals, I incorporated sheer details in a floating chiffon veil and an architectural dress composed of layers and layers of tissue thin ruffles. A soaring cathedral ceiling over an elegant neutral table gave off that same impression of airy beauty, grounded with details in solid wood.
