Unique textures abound in this creative shoot at Blanc, an innovative Denver event space transformed by the vision of Colorado planner, NuBlu Events! The bright and summery sorbet color scheme added touches of coral, pink, and peach to the warehouse event venue, contrasting incredible textures like leather and lace, beading and flowers, with everything the unique venue had to offer! Photographers Jennie Crate, Photographer and Spika Photography, founders of the Photo Betties, envisioned this shoot as a chance to stretch their creativity and capture some colorful, chic style!
Let’s kick things off with this incredible invitation suite by Emily Howell! The gorgeous modern invites were sent in stamped leather envelopes, a unique touch that would add a signature detail throughout the shoot.
Suede textures from the bride’s pink heels played off the unique leather elements!
The gorgeous gown by Blue Bridal Boutique added feminine style to the whitewashed wood and exposed brick of the venue! Layers of horsehair trimmed tulle created a voluminous ballgown skirt, while the stunning bodice was embroidered with hundreds of crystals over nude fabric to create a dramatic illusion. The gorgeous gown was actually separates in disguise, pairing a beaded bodysuit with a full skirt to create a one of a kind mix and match look!
The flowers by Bella Lu Floral were used as a dramatic focal point to add vibrant color to the blank canvas event space! NuBlu Events had dreamed of using sorbet colors, fresh and bright, and the floral designer delivered! The bride’s bouquet of coral charm peonies, peach roses and lisianthus, and pops of yellow brought that summery color in spades!
The groom modeled a picture perfect rustic wedding look with an upscale twist – brown leather accessories and a patterned bow tie added earthy touches to his subtly checked blue suit for that mountain style!
The stunning tablescape dreamed up by NuBlu Events combined leather and lace to incredible effect! The lace overlay from Linen Hero covered the table in dreamy texture, perfect to layer the rest of the colorful elements! Wood and linen chairs from Event Rents CO tied in to the leather details of the table decor to keep the effect cohesive and chic.
Emily Howell hand lettered these leather menus to serve as place mat and list the incredible dishes served by All Love Catering! Leather tags on each napkin also served as place card to tie in the unique elements.
The decor went for bright and poppy, bringing in the sorbet color palette with taper candled and flowers spilling out of a beaten copper vessel. Peonies, ranunculus, and dahlias added just the right burst of summer color!
Copper mule mugs at each place setting were adorned with guests’s names in white ink to serve as favors after adding a metallic touch to the table!
Cake baker Cassie’s Confections brought the color scheme into her clean and simple cake, with a subtle floral print tier to tie in the sorbet hues!
The venue provided ample backdrop for amazing portraits, with whitewashed barn wood, exposed brick, and copper doors serving as inspiration for countless photos. The juxtaposition of industrial venue and over the top romance of the wedding style made sure that every moment popped against the eclectic venue!
